Types Of
Fresno Housing manages diverse properties and programs designed to build and support an engaged and informed community throughout Fresno County.
The majority of properties are multi-family developments, located throughout the city and county of Fresno and are available to residents meeting income eligibility requirements. In addition, Fresno Housing has particular units and complexes that have been designed and set aside for designated under-served populations, including farm laborers, migrant workers, seniors, and those in need of supportive services.
Families & Individuals
There is a range of housing types and programs that serves a spectrum of individuals and families ranging from low-income, veterans, special needs, survivors of domestic violence, migrant workers, farm laborers, seniors, and youth aged-out of foster care. Each housing type and program has different eligibility requirements and rates.
For Subsidized Housing, the resident will pay approximately 30% of the household’s adjusted gross income. In Affordable Housing, the rental rates are already set but are lower than the average rental rates. Fresno Housing also manages other government-subsidized units known as Public Housing. Conventional Housing rates do not change based on resident income. However, there are income requirements, and rents are set based on the surrounding market.
