Families & Individuals
There is a range of housing types and programs that serves a spectrum of individuals and families ranging from low-income, veterans, special needs, survivors of domestic violence, migrant workers, farm laborers, seniors, and youth aged-out of foster care. Each housing type and program has different eligibility requirements and rates.
For Subsidized Housing, the resident will pay approximately 30% of the household’s adjusted gross income. In Affordable Housing, the rental rates are already set but are lower than the average rental rates. Fresno Housing also manages other government-subsidized units known as Public Housing. Conventional Housing rates do not change based on resident income. There are income requirements, and rents are set based on the surrounding market.
